About Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational Rehabilitation includes an array of services, which are funded by a grant to the Navajo Nation from the U.S Dept. of Education.  The goal of vocational rehabilitation is to assist people with disabilities to obtain or maintain employment.

What Services May Be Provided

The following are the types of vocational rehabilitation services for which an individual with a disability may qualify:

 

  • Assessment for determining eligibility and vocational need
  • Recruitment and Training Services
  • Rehabilitation Technology Services
  • Tuition, books/supplies, personal needs allowances, room/board, transportation
  • Native Healing Services
  • Information and Referral
  • Mental/Physical Restoration
  • Occupational licenses, tools, equipment, initial stocks and supplies
